Often the requirements can be divided into two categories:
The first category is the recreation of ceramic surfaces. Part of a given wall covering needs to be renewed. The challenge here is to match the new tiles to the existing material. If new tiles or clinker were simply laid, the difference would be clearly visible. ORO BIANCO HANDMADE TILES can create almost any kind of surface, fake traces of use and imitate discolouration. In the end, the new tiles are indistinguishable from the existing ones and the character of the existing wall is preserved.
This plays an important role especially in the fields of restoration and monument protection.
Another task is colour development, i.e. the production of a glaze according to a specific colour specification. It is not unusual for our design studio to receive a carpet sample or piece of furniture as a specification. But it can also be a specification from an international colour system, e.g. RAL, Pantone, NCS, etc. We develop the glaze and get closer and closer to the desired colour until it is achieved perfectly.
